Today is my first full day of touring. I wanted to start it off right. I went outside into the cool fresh air of Northampton, and did some zazen meditation under a maple tree, in the light spring rain. Wonderful. Reading chapter one of my book on air last night, I sometimes wonder if the book is too "spiritual" or even "religious" and will that turn off more people than it will turn on. But that's just my mind with it's constant curveball anxiety. This is the book I was made to write, and to tour about, and speak out on.
Bob and I are going to go downtown now and visit some bookstores. Maybe we will meet some people. The great 80 City Journey has begun!

It seems to me that we creative types are surrounded by both yes-men and caustic critics. This creates an existential vertigo that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Good luck.
